Frewil Adventours Twinkle was the first Jersey to arrive at Bellvale Farms in the summer of 1999. She was Jasmine’s first calf. She lived to be almost 9 years old and produced over 130,000 lbs. of milk in her lifetime or about 14,000 gallons of milk.
Twinkle had two heifers, named Teddy and Tigger; at eight years old she had her last calf named Tillie. You can see the influence of the little girl Jasmine in the name choices.
Tigger had only bull calves but Jasmine showed her many times and was a nice cow for a little girl to show. Teddy wasn’t as pretty as Tigger but she had two heifer calves one was named Tootsie. Twinkles last daughter was Tillie and she and Tootsie lived together in the barn for a long time and were a great pair of cows.

Lifetime production
6 Lactation average, 21,364lbs Milk | 1030lb Fat | 726lb Protein
Twinkles youngest daughter Bellvale Jace Tillie born April 2007 took after her mother and even surpassed her. Tillie also produced over 130,000 lbs. of milk in six lactations averaging over 21,000 lbs. every year. She also lived to the ripe old age of 9 years. Jasmine showed Tille as a 3-year-old at The New Jersey State Fair Show and won 1st place 3-year-old and Reserve Grand Champion. As a 4-year-old Tillie produced over 1100 lbs. of butter fat. She placed 8th in the country for that accomplishment among animals owned by junior Jersey Association members. Jasmine attended the National Awards ceremony in Louisville Kentucky to receive her award for Tillie’s achievements. What a great cow! But wait she also has two heifers’ calves named Tulip and Tahiti.

Lifetime production
5 Lactation average, 20,447lbs Milk | 1049lb Fat | 732lb Protein
Bellvale Jace Tootsie is another branch of the family, born in April, 2005. Tootsie is Twinkles granddaughter. Tootsie was the first Jersey Jasmine ever showed.
They both did a great job placing 2nd in a large spring calf class at New Jersey State Fair show. Tootsie like the rest of her family was a great production cow. She produced over 100,000 lbs. of milk in 5 lactations but even more impressive she produced over 5,200 lbs. of butter fat in her life. Quite an achievement. One of Tootsies granddaughters was fancy enough to sell at The National Youth Production contest sale in Louisville, Kentucky. That heifer went on to be the Grand Champion of the Jr show of the Michigan State Fair. What a family! Carrying on that part of the family in barn today is Tuna. She is very special to us since she is our first Jersey to reach a maximum score for a 3-year-old, EX 91 points.

Lifetime production (so far)
5 Lactation average, 21,865lbs milk | 870lb Fat | 729lb Protein
In August 2012 Bellvale Valentino Tulip was born. Because she was born in August, she was never involved in Jasmine’s show string. But Tulip has certainly carried on the family tradition as great production cows. Tulip is still milking in the barn as an 8-year-old cow in her 6th lactation. She has already produced over 110,000 lbs. of milk and is working to surpass the 130,000 lbs. of milk of Twinkle and Tillie.

Funky
In the Fall of 2009, Jasmine purchased a calf named Flirt. Flirt was a pretty calf who won many blue ribbons for Jasmine. In 2012 Flirt had a baby named Funky. Funky has grown up and lived with Tulip her whole life. Funky is still in the herd as a 9-year-old cow and has already produced over 120,000 lbs. of milk and still going strong. As a young animal Funky also won many ribbons for Jasmine. We are looking forward to having many more members of Funky’s family on the farm.

H
We have recently started working with a member of the Mamie family which we have named with “H”. As the name implies this a family with solid type and production and we are looking forward to a long future working them.
As always, we are looking for good farms who are interested in good cattle for marketing possibilities. All Jersey’s are A2/A2.
